Cirque - Saltimbanco

Between
whirlwind and lull, prowess and poetry, Saltimbanco takes spectators on
an allegorical and acrobatic journey into the heart of the city. Saltimbanco
is a characteristic Cirque du Soleil show inspired by the urban fabric
of the metropolis and its colorful inhabitants. Decidedly baroque in
its visual vocabulary, the show’s eclectic cast of characters
draws spectators into a fanciful, dreamlike world, an imaginary city
where diversity is a cause for hope.
Five Alarm Chili Cookoff
October 6th
Downtown Hampton
Come
out for the hottest day in October for the annual Hampton Division
of Fire & Rescue Chili Cookoff on Saturday, October 6 from noon
until 4pm at Mill Point Park in Downtown Hampton. Enter your own famous chili recipe or bring your friends and
sample some of the best tasting chili in the area! Cooks can
compete for prizes in a variety of categories while fun activities and
music will be playing. Come warm your heart, join the fun, and
set your mouth on fire. All proceeds from the cookoff will go to the purchase of smoke detectors for residents.

8th ANNUAL MASQUERADE IN GHENT
Norfolk, VA-Get ready to show off your Halloween costume at the 8th
Annual Masquerade in Ghent Halloween Block Party and Costume Walk on
Friday, October 26th from 6PM – 10PM.
Costume Walk registration will begin at 5:00PM by the Laundromat at the
corner of Shirley and Colley Avenue and the Walk will start at 6:30PM.
Judges will be to judge costume contest and award prizes in several
categories including Best in Show with a $1,000 cash prize. There will
be live music by Electric Baby out of Harrisonburg, Virginia and The
Rhondells. The event is free and open to the public.
The event will be held on Colley Avenue by the Naro Expanded Cinema.
There is ample parking available at surrounding shopping centers.

Williamsburg Winery
Food & Wine pairing dinner every Thursday night through
October at the Williamsburg Winery's Gabriel Archer Tavern. Each Thursday
evening enjoy a different theme revolving around New Release wines, seasonal
specialties and Reserve tasting events. Reservations must be made at least 24
hours in advance.

us along the Downtown Norfolk waterfront for one of the state’s
largest outdoor wine festivals featuring more than 30 Virginia wineries
providing a sampling of wines available for purchase by the glass,
bottle or case. Also enjoy gourmet, made-in-Virginia food items,
specialty crafts, and live musical entertainment by Lewis McGhee.
