It's 1607 and you are among 104 colonists arriving in the New World. Your goal? To survive for one year. Taking on the role of an actual colonist, you will wind your way through a maze facing engaging challenges that prompt you to make your own decisions to "survive" the perils and pitfalls facing the first English settlers in the region.

Toddler Tuesdays

Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center
Come join us for Toddler Tuesdays every Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Marsh Pavilion. Toddlers will enjoy a song and story on a different animal each week. Afterward, join us as we go in search of that animal in the Aquarium. Programs last approximately a half hour. No reservations are necessary.

Best of the Monkeys: NINJA Surprise!

Fun-loving and antic-filled actors and actresses of Children's Theater of Hampton Roads create situations for audience participation. Children are encouraged to come dressed up and ready for exceptioanlly creative fun.

More than 50 creative and interactive activities, storytelling stages, hands-on workshops and educational displays, cultural experiences, arts & crafts and more, this is one of Hampton Roads’ most beloved family festivals.  A whole day of activities geared toward children 10 and younger. Past entertainment has included Dora the Explorer, Spiderman and Blue’s Clues.

How Does Your Garden Grow? Pumpkin Party

Join us over lunch for Halloween fun as we create mini jack-o-lanterns with magic markers. Use your completed pumpkin as a model for carving a larger one at home! Fun for all ages. Supplies provided. 

Hauntings: Tales for All Hallows
October 26th - 28th
Fortieth Street Stage
Scary tales, shadow stories, music and short performance pieces all designed to send a shiver up your spine; but have to fear – Hauntings will be suitable for all ages.
